Changing a switched 8XX

After you add a switched 8XX in Control Center, you can change it. Other 8XX ordering options in Control Center include self-service tools and online order forms (OLOFs). Using Control Center, you can also disconnect switched 8XX services.

To change a switched 8XX order:

  1. Click Orders, click Manage Orders, then click Change.

  1. From the Service Type list, select 8XX.
  1. From the 8XX Type list, select Switched.

  1. In the 8XX field, enter an 8XX number, then click Lookup.

    The Change Order page auto-populates with the existing 8XX information.
  1. Edit the following fields as needed:

    • RTN
    • End User Name
    • LOA Date
    • Restriction (requires the Service Option Form to change)
    • Routing
    • Current RespOrg ID
    • Customer Order ID (you must enter a new order ID for the change)
    • Comments

Note: Editing the RTN, Routing, and Restriction fields makes changes to the Lumen network.

  1. Click Submit Request.

    Control Center shows your order confirmation results.  You can correct any errors in the order and resubmit it.
  1. Take a screenshot or make note of the order confirmation results information. (When you click OK, Control Center dismisses the information shown). The information is not available later, but you can look up the 8XX, ANI, or Card on your account in Service Status.
  1. Click OK.
