Removing Lumen Defender℠ from a service

If you no longer want a service to be protected by Lumen Defender℠ Powered by Black Lotus Labs®, you can remove it from the service in Control Center (using the Lumen Defender℠ dashboard). You can also view a list of protected services.

Caution: Before you remove Lumen Defender℠, we strongly recommend downloading any threat data you want to retain for your records. After you remove Lumen Defender℠, you will no longer have access to its associated threat information for that service.

To remove Lumen Defender℠ from a service:

1. Download Lumen Defender data
2. Remove Lumen Defender from the service

Step 1: Download Lumen Defender data

To download Lumen Defender℠ data:

  1. Click Monitoring, then click Lumen Defender.

    Control Center shows the Lumen Defender℠ dashboard with a list of active threats for the past 12 hours. At the top of the tab, Control Center shows a summary of the total number of active threats, total threats by risk level, and the percentage change in those threats since the previous time period.

  1. Click the Reporting tab.

    Control Center shows a report of all threats to the monitored services for your organization in the past 24 hours:

  1. Download any threat data you want to retain. Remember, once you remove Lumen Defender℠ from the service, you will no longer have access to this threat information.

Step 2: Remove Lumen Defender℠ from the service

To remove Lumen Defender℠ from the service:

  1. Click the Administrative Settings tab.

    Control Center shows the current blocking level for services protected by Lumen Defender℠.

  1. Click the Services subtab.

    Control Center lists the services using Lumen Defender℠.

  1. On the row for the service you want to disconnect, click the icon (in the Actions column), then click Lumen Defender.
  1. In the window that appears, read through the warning, select the checkbox to agree to the terms, then click CONFIRM REMOVAL.

    Control Center removes Lumen Defender℠ from the service you selected.
