Jim Fowler
Jim Fowler has more than 25 years of leadership experience digitally forming and leading technology innovation at two Fortune 100 companies.
Currently, Mr. Fowler is the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Nationwide Insurance where he is responsible for modernizing core technology capabilities, digitally transforming business capabilities, and intelligently automating operations.
Prior to Nationwide, Mr. Fowler held several leadership roles at General Electric from 2000 to 2018. Jim was most recently the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) at GE leading the company’s global information technology strategy, services, operations, and internal digital transformation program. During his tenure at GE, Jim served in business unit CIO roles responsible for digital transformation at GE Capital, GE Power and Water, GE Intelligent Platforms, and GE Aviation. Mr. Fowler began his career at AT&T in 1993 and worked at Accenture before joining General Electric.
Mr. Fowler currently serves on not‑for‑profit boards for Miami University Farmer School of Business, Columbus State Community College and YearUp, a workforce development and professional skill‑building organization for young adults. He joined the Board in August 2023.
